A native of Washington, D.C., Chris moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of a career in entertainment, equipped only with his degree from Howard University at the time.
Since being in Hollywood, he has worked hard to be a professional in the industry, becoming a member of the SAG-AFTRA & AEA actors' unions. In addition to 'cutting his teeth' in acting by doing theatre, he has studied with acclaimed acting coach Larry Moss, Antaeus Theatre Company, and has been a student abroad at Drama Studio London. He has also appeared in numerous national commercials, and is a graduate of Upright Citizen's Brigade improv program.
Chris is also a writer, producer, and director and has had his short films play in several festivals across the country. His film 'The Conversation' received the Special Achievement in Directing award in the SoCal Film Festival 2014 & Judge's Choice for Best Drama in the Soul 4 Reel film festival in 2016. His new short on the film circuit, 'The Reckoning', won Best Thriller in the Culture and Diversity Film Festival 2019, and is an official selection at film festivals twenty five times over. Having a strong philosophy of contribution, Chris just completed co-writing his first pilot, and is working on his first feature length script - projects he hopes will lead to being picked up.
With no plans of slowing down, Chris has set his sights on expanding his theatrical resume and becoming a proven and highly regarded talent in the industry. He recently worked a scene with Issa Rae which can now be seen in Season 4, episode 5 of Insecure. He has also worked with Eddie Murphy and Jim Carrey for 'Dolemite Is My Name' and 'Kidding', respectively.
When he is not on set working, he practices Aikido in his spare time, and is currently a second degree black belt.
